The history of brewing in Pelhřimov
Pelhřimov was granted brewing rights in 1552, but beer was brewed here even earlier.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy bottled and canned Poutník?
The easiest way is the brewery's shop in Pelhřimov, where you will find bottles, cans and PET. You can arrange larger orders through the contact page, and draught beer is described on the Kegs for events page.
Our beer can also be bought in other shops around Pelhřimov.
When is the brewery shop open?
Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00, Sat 8:00–11:00. Besides beer, you can also buy gift items and products from the other plants of DUP – družstvo.
How do I order draught beer in kegs?
You can pick up 30 l and 50 l kegs without ordering at our dispatch point (Mon–Wed 6:00–15:00, Thu–Fri 6:00–16:00). Order smaller kegs (15 and 20 l) at least 24 hours in advance, and cooling equipment 2–3 weeks in advance. Details are on the Kegs and cooling page.
Is Poutník unpasteurised?
Yes, most of the Poutník range is unpasteurised – brewed the classic way, with a fuller taste and natural character. You will find the details on the Unpasteurised beer page.
The exception is cans, which are pasteurised for quality and safety reasons. Even there, we try to preserve as much of the character of living beer as possible.
Do you have non-alcoholic beer?
We do not offer non-alcoholic beer yet. But we do have several non-alcoholic fruit uuuf… radlers.
Do you have an e-shop?
Yes, at eshop.dup.cz. Beer is not sold there – you will find products from the other plants of DUP – družstvo and Poutník souvenirs.
